Launch Party

Packing an east village cocktail bar to the brim, we gathered to celebrate the launch of Flamingo Heights, a prose-poetry and photography chapbook by studio founder Katya Borkov, published by Tiny Cutlery. Drawing from the psychic residue of the high desert, this work about family, memory and the negative space it leaves behind was celebrated with readings by:

Winter Solstice
Holiday Ball

Twirling into the turn of the season in tail suits and pearls, guests joined studio founder Katya Borkov for an introductory waltz workshop, dance performances from our members, and glamorous midtown views from our Hells Kitchen ballroom.
Proceeds supported the studio's upcoming Spring Programming initiatives, giving the artists of Spill Space valuable opportunities to share and showcase their work, and supporting the fee waivers which keep our programs accessible to all.

Autumn Equinox
Picnic
September 2024
At the studio's inaugural celebration, Spill Space members gathered in Prospect Park for poetry readings and a potluck picnic. We settled in the shade of a tree whose leaves had just begun to turn red, passing sketchbooks around the circle and sharing rituals to welcome the season to come.
